Sonny Effraim Brown, Jr.

Very quietly and peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom, mercy, and grace, gently closed the eyes of our beloved, Sonny Effraim Brown Jr., and he entered into eternal rest.

Sonny E. Brown Jr., son of Sonny E. Brown Sr. and Rosa Lee Brown, was born on May 2, 1959. Sonny Effraim Brown Jr., was affectionately referred to as Ned. He received all of his formal education in public schools in Fair Bluff, North Carolina. Sonny was employed as a laborer and an assembler before becoming disabled at an early age. Sonny came to know the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his personal Savior. Sonny was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he sang on the choir.

Sonny migrated to Philadelphia, PA which he made his permanent home. Sonny will be remembered as a stern but loving man. He leaves to mourn with cherished memories, his sisters Carolyn, Magnolia, Ila, Alma and Lula; two brother’s in-law Jeffrey McIntyre and Ray Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
