Perry J Wallace

Perry J. Wallace was born November 10, 1941 to the late Ola Thomas Wallace and John Wallace in Philadelphia Pa. Perry entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2018. He was a loving brother, son, uncle and friend to all.

Perry was educated in the Philadelphia School system and was a proud graduate of Simon Gratz High School. After graduating high school, he began employment with the Philadelphia Water Department, District Council 33 Fleet Management. Perry loved his job and had worked for the department for 50 years before retiring where he was given several merit awards for outstanding service, loyalty, and dedication to the company.
At a young age, Perry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his life. He was a kind loving person who was always ready to help others. He truly loved his family, enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. He was a lover of antique automobiles where he often visited car shows and had a station built at home to replicate a variety of mini classic cars. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. On any given day you could find Perry socializing at 20th & Willard Street or hanging out at Bill's auto garage with his close friends he called family. He would keep them laughing with his dry sense of humor and his big fish tail stories.

Perry was preceded in death by his mother Ola, his father John, his nephew Hankie Jr. and his brother Hank Senior. A voice is still, a place is vacant, and a skip of a heartbeat has come to our family. The most treasured memories of Perry's life remain with his great nephews Hankie Wallace III, Tyri Wallace, Quadir Wallace, one great niece Jabria Wallace, a niece Jarita Miller, one cousin Cynthia Bailey, a devoted friend Duwayne "Huckabuck" Oliver and a host of other family members and close friends.
