Jack Simmons Jr., lovingly known to all as "Junior" was born on July 1, 1947 in Georgetown, South Carolina to Annie Mae Simmons and the late Jack Simmons Sr.. Jack was the third child of twelve. Junior departed on Friday, December 26, 2014. Preceded in death by his late wife Phyllis Patterson Simmons, his father Jack Simmons, Sr. and his brother Terry Simmons. Junior was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System graduating from Thomas Edison High School. He entered The United States Army Armed Forces where he provided four years of service and received an honorable discharge. He worked at PGW for a number of years. Junior had a passion in repairing cars. Everyone knew they could count on Junior when it came to car problems. He pursued this career passion by attending Pennco Tech School where he received his Auto Repair Technician Certification. Jack's passion for repairing and learning about cars never ended. Junior's vibrant personality could always be seen and heard through his favorite saying "Gosh Oh Mighty, I'm the Man, and Ok Baby" which was often imitated but never duplicated only he knew how to say it fluently. Junior loved his family especially his grandchildren.
