J.Richmond Thomas

On the evening of Sunday August 28, 2016, Mr. J. Richmond Thomas expired in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Richmond, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was born on December 24, 1954 unto the union of Mr. Edward Thomas and Mrs. Gomah Dou-Thomas in the city of Tappeta, Nimba County, Republic of Liberia. Richmond was reared in Tappeta where he began his primary education. He later matriculated to Nathan Ross High School in Monrovia and graduated on December 15, 1975. Richmond was a hardworking man who was very dedicated to his family.
Richmond began his professional life at Liberian Immigration Services with an assignment at James Springs Payne Airport in Monrovia where he worked for many years, prior to his relocation to the United States of America. Upon his arrival in the United States, Richmond obtained employment at Kintoch in Devon, Pennsylvania where he worked for many years. He became a citizen of the United States on April 22, 2008. Richmond was a Christian, and a member of the Philadelphia Church International.
Richmond is Survived by his wife of many years, Margaret, a daughter Leona Thomas of Minnesota; 5 brothers and 5 sisters, and a host of nephews and nieces.
