Ida Mae Bratten-Hudson was born on February 19, 1944 in Snow Hill, Maryland to Dora Bratten. After her mother passed away, Ida an only child was raised by her Aunt Iula Ashby. On June 27, 2015, Ida went home peacefully to be with the Lord. Ida was united in marriage to George Randolph Hudson on September 3, 1962 and relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From this union they were blessed with eight children, Cynthia, Dwayne, George Jr, Denise, Terrance, Stacey, Dawn and Daniel. After moving to Philadelphia, Ida dedicated her life to caring for her family and nurtured many others through the years. She loved her family and always looked forward to spending time with them. Ida accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Snow Hill, MD under the leadership of the late Reverend Brown. She later joined Tower of Pentecost Church of God In Christ in Philadelphia under the leadership of the late Bishop DeWitt Burton. She loved spending time with her church family and faithfully served as a member of the choir for many years. Ida leaves to cherish her memories, her husband George, four sons Dwayne, George Jr, Terrence and Daniel; five daughters Cassandra (deceased), Cynthia, Denise, Stacey and Dawn; three "daughter-in-laws" Christie, Valina and Tamika; eighteen grandchildren Donshika, Briana, Brandon, Kian, DeMarcus, Demarius, Demia, Aniyahh Sarina, Jasir, Kierra, Terrell, Jayna, Tymir, Jade, Devon, Demi, Ethan; and three great grandchildren Serenity, Jaden and Sage. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
