Evangelist Louise Solomon

Louise Pinckney-Solomon was born in Lodge, South Carolina on December 17, 1936 to the late Ed and Vera Martin. She passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She had 11 brothers and sisters; the late Mary Middleton of New York City, Eddie Martin (deceased) of Morehead City, NC, Jonny Marion Martin (deceased) of Jacksonville, FL; Freda Mae Murdock of Charleston, SC; Marie Ryan (deceased) of New York, City; Lillie Owens (deceased) of Waterboro, SC; Barbara Johnson of New York City, Jeanette Williams of Philadelphia, PA; Catherine Ash of New York City, Danny Martin of New York City, and Special sister law Vera Martin of Morehead City, NC. She attended school in Lodge SC, and after completing her education she married the late Henry Pinckney. From this union eight children were born; son, Hank (Wife, Linda), daughter, Joyce (Husband, Bernard), Son, Steven (Wife, Patricia); daughter, Rosemary (Husband, Frederick), daughter, Sheila (Husband, Michael); son, Kenneth (Wife Sharquita), daughter, Karen. She also leaves to mourn 31 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. A son, Jackie Leroy Pinckney who preceded her in death. In 1977 she married Peter Solomon who preceded her in death. She also leaves to mourn 5 step children, Melvin, Kenny, Peter, Helena and Elaine Solomon. Louise accepted Christ at an early age and later moved to Philadelphia where she joined the MET Church and served as an Usher, Mother of the Met Youth Choir; and Evangelist. She was an Evangelist to many people. She conducted bible study in her home. She also did outreach and prison ministries for many years. After the met disbanded she joined Mt. Olive Holy Temple at Broad & Jefferson Streets, in Philadelphia, PA; where she became a deaconess and ordained Minister. Later she joined St. Paul Baptist Church under Watch Care. Louise was an entrepreneur. At a very early age she was very skilled at making clothing and later established her own business specializing in women dresses, suits, wedding gowns and choir robes. She also established her own certified home based day care center. Louise enjoyed cooking and baking. Whenever you entered her home you could always smell the aroma of delicious sweets and treats. And not to forget her blueberry pies and down home southern cooking. She was an excellent mother, a virtuous women who loved GOD, her children and her family. She considered her neighbors family as well. She was a no non-sense disciplinarian who wouldn't spear the rod to spoil the child. Louise sacrificed her all to ensure that her children received a well-rounded education, nurturing and a good home. She was an extraordinary women.
