Eugene Walker Williams affectionately know as Gene, was born on April 21, 1935 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Floyd H. Williams and Theresa Williams Mason. He was the fourth of five siblings all of whom preceded him in death. Gene was raised and received his early education in Campbell County, Virginia. A loyal servant to his country he served 8 years in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge in 1964. Gene married his soul mate, Margaret L. Williams on July 3, 1971. They enjoyed 49 years of love and companionship. Out of this union, they were blessed with two children: Baron G. Williams and Kristy L. Williams. In 1969 he joined the Philadelphia Police Department to serve as a police officer. He retired in 1992 after a dedicated 23 years of service of which over half were in the elite Highway Patrol Unit. Gene was a dedicated father, husband and beloved friend. He stood on a strong foundation comprised of love, understanding, honesty and mutual respect. On December 25, 2014 Gene was peacefully called home to rest well with the Lord as another one of his angels. Gene leaves to celebrate his life and legacy; his wife Margaret L. Williams; two children Baron G. Williams and Kristy L. Williams; and many relatives and friends.
