Eloise V. Gibson the daughter of Lillie Mae Oakley and Charles Long was born on June 8, 1923. She received her education in the Public School of Barber, N.C. and the RA Clemet High School of Cleveland, N.C.. At a very young age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, she joined Cedar Grove AME Zion Church in Barber, N.C..
Eloise was united in Holy Matrimony to Walter Gibson on June 3, 1940, this union was Blessed with two children one daughter, the late Eula Mae Ford and one son Dennis L. Gibson.
In 1961 she relocated to Philadelphia, Pa. Eloise did domestic work, she worked for one family until she retired. Eloise joined Berean Baptist Church in 1984 and was baptized by Pastor Dock. Eloise and her daughter the late Eula Mae Ford was one of Pastor Dock First Covert. Eloise was a faithful and loving member of the Nurses Ministry and The Women Adult Sunday School Class.
Eloise had a Joyous and warm personality. She leaves to cherish her memories one son Dennis Gibson and daughter-in-law Gladine Gibson. Three grandchildren Dennette, Dennis Jr., and Duane Gibson. Nine great-grandchildren, a devoted church family and a host of relatives and friends.
