Cirlease Golden Obituary

Cirlease Golden was born March 28, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Colin Pressley and Sarah Cooper. Cirlease had two sisters and five brothers. She was the last sibling to transition to their new heavenly home. She was affectionately known as Curl and loved to share kindness and to acknowledge God mercies by simply stating "I've been blessed by the best".
Cirlease was born and raised in Philadelphia. Her community and her family helped make Philly her lifelong home. She had a passion for cooking and loved to host family gatherings. She was a member of the Eastern Stars.
Cirlease accepted Christ at a very early age through her mother's evangelical teaching. She was a member of the Robinson Memorial Choir at National Temple Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her passing. She loved her church family and believed through Christ all thing were possible.
In 1948 she was united in holy matrimony to the late James A. Golden To this union 3 beautiful children were born. Her spouse James and her twin sons Alvin and Calvin Golden proceeded in her death. They await with open arms to welcome "Mom Golden" home.
Mom worked for Cinderella Dress company for twenty-five years before she retired. She loved to purchased dresses and shared them with her nieces and her grand-daughter Malissa. A true fashion diva in her own rights, Curl sported many of the latest fashions which in almost all cases included a fabulous hat.
Cirlease and James owned Golden Funeral Home where they served the Philadelphia community for over fifty years. Cirlease was able to provide comfort to those in times of sadness. It is with this thought that that we are comforted knowing that she has found peace in her new home.
We are forever thankful to her nieces Mrs. Alberta Jerman and Miss Paula Pressley who provided care-giver services to Mom Golden. They were there when she needed them and they covered her with their love and prayers. To all her family and friends who shared their love with Curl we thank you. You are forever remembered in our hearts and prayers.
Cirlease leaves to mourn her passing her loving son Tyrone and daughter-in law Jeannette Golden of Tinley Park, IL. Her grand-daughter Malissa B. Golden of Richmond, VA. Her daughters-in-law Warnette Golden and Darlene Golden of Philadelphia, PA. Nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends including her closest friend Jenell Haines of Philadelphia, PA.
