Born to Charles Hynes Sr. and Manglee Wilson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was educated in the Philadelphia school system. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. Charles married Sylvia Smith October 12, 1991. He leaves behind three sisters Shirley Harris, Yvonne Davis, Geraldine Trawick, and Pat Hynes; daughters, Romona Randle, Kim Robinson, and Princess Robinson; stepchildren Darlene, Brian, Allen, and Daryl; grandchildren Jenaya, Lamont, Jamir, Quadere, Dyshaun, Kayla, Qasim, and Aaliyah; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Zechariah 10:4 And they of shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea,Their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
