Carolyn Alderman Obituary

Ms. Carolyn Q. Alderman transitioned from this earth to an eternal rest peacefully Monday, December 16, 2013 at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. Carolyn was born to the late Cassie Maye Jones in Wilmington, North Carolina, in the county of New Hanover. She moved from Wilmington to Philadelphia, Pa at the age of fifteen. She attended Bok High School. She was an advocate of school productivity and a volunteer which was the harvest into her position at the Philadelphia School District where she worked. She retired after thirty five plus years as a volunteer and NTA in 2003. Anyone who knew Carolyn knew she was a strong disciplinarian, she was never afraid to tell you how she felt about anything or anyone, she was always firm in her decisions and she loved family comfort, but not of all truly had a caring heart. Carolyn was preceded in death by her special friend Robert H. Savage for over forty years, and her brother Alonzo buddy Hayes. She leaves to cherish her memories; four children Alesia, Norwood, Robert, and Nichette Alderman, One daughter in law Dorina Alderman; one brother Charles Jones, one sister Alberta Jones Jackson, one sister in law Lenora Jones, along with many other in laws in the Savage Family. Four grandchildren Fatimah, Kimberly, Christopher, and Nyaih Alderman, four nephews Vaughn Halloway, Alonzo Irving, Basil Butts, and Timothy McGroder. Three nieces Tarshawn Jones Boddie, Treena Jones, Rashida Aikens, and a host of other great nieces and nephews, fail and friends.
