Baxter Mark Staton, age 71 of Voorhees, NJ, beloved husband, father, son, brother and cousin passed away on July 20, 2022 surrounded by family.
He was born in Salisbury, NC on December 10, 1950 and raised in Salisbury, NC, Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ. He graduated early from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Camden, NJ in 1966 and joined the US Marine Corps shortly after his 17th birthday in 1967. He served in the Vietnam War and later joined the US Air Force in 1971, which he retired from in 1986. It was at his first Air Force Base Station in the Philippines where he met the love of his life, Rosalina. It was love at first sight and he told her that he would marry her within a month even though she had a fiancé at the time. They would marry later that month they met and remain married for 49 years until his death. They raised three children, Kenneth, Darrell and Helen.
Baxter known as Mark to friends and Skeet to family was an avid reader who loved music, movies, cooking, high performance sports cars and the 76ers. He was a proud Marine (Semper Fidelis!) and Vietnam veteran.
He is predeceased in death by Helen (mother) and Thomas Staton (father), and Clyde Baxter Davidson (father). He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved wife Rosalina Staton; sons Kenneth Juanico (Keli) and Darrell Staton (Leidalis); daughter Helen Staton; grandchildren Cassia Juanico, Zarcari Garrett, Donte Giordano, Donovan Staton, Kenneth Juanico Jr., Jaden Juanico and Sofia Staton; sister, TaRhonda Staton; brothers, Richard Davidson, Ronnie Davidson (Billie) and Elvis Davidson; sisters, Wanda Hughey and Tammy Davidson, many nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Marvin Nichols and LaTisha Quick.
