Alan Keith Glover

Alan Keith Glover, Sr. along with his twin brother, Alex was born to Robert and Mozell Glover on February 27, 1961, Alan the ninth of ten children. Those that loved and knew him called him Skinny or Herb. Alan received his formal education in the Philadelphia Public School System and graduated from the Parkway Program in 1980. Promptly after graduating, having strong work ethic Alan excelled in the workforce. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Alan decided at this point in life to move to Norristown, Pennsylvania. His first employment there was at Norristown State Hospital, where he work years as an environmental technician. Alan later worked as a manager for McDonald's Restaurants, where he met, courted and married Jimica R. Douglas on June 6, 1998. From this loving union they were blessed with 2 sons, Alan Keith Glover, Jr. And Jayden Reese Glover. Alan was a loving and doting father. He started ted his son's basketball careers by enrolling them in Police Athletic League (PAL). Where he also serviced as a basketball coach and attended almost every game. A.J. & Jayden loved their Dad's fried chicken wing, they often said it was better than Mom's. Alan enjoyed camping with his sons annually at Knoebels campgrounds, in Ellsberg, Pa. Alan, A.J., & Jayden would pitch tents, help set up the campsite, the boys loved to ride their bikes around and enjoy the amusement park, and pool with their Dad, many memories were made their. Alan treasures moments like these, for he spoke of his sons often , with such affection and love, he truly loved his sons. After the divorce, Alan remained a very present father to his sons whom are his pride, joy and constant source of smiles and fatherly bragging. Alan donated much f his time to family and causes to uplift and promote children's growth in life. Later in life Alan applied to septa, where he drove the 33-bus route. After a promotion Alan worked as a stock clerk receiver, which he loved, made many friends and excelled at his job. Alan met and fell madly in love with Elise Michelle Oney. They became inseparable and enjoy spending quality time together, like dare night at home watching movies and popping popcorn. Alan affectionately called Michelle his Boo, in every aspect of his life Alan was a family man, he loved and enjoyed being with his family. While working years for septa, Alan decided to make Michelle his wife, during the courtship, Alan fell ill to this disease we call cancer, Michelle never left his side. She was a loving and attentive fianc
